a. If cell B6 does not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy.
PROJECT STEPS
1. As an assistant to Lamont Quinn, the professional development coordinator for Emani Engineering, you use Excel to track data about professional development hours and requirements for the company's engineers. Lamont asks you to finalize the worksheets for the current week. Begin on the Sessions worksheet by wrapping the text in cell E2 so that the contents fit into a single cell.
2. Enter the values shown in Table 1 into the corresponding cells in the range B8:C11 to provide the missing instructor names and session dates.
Table 1: Data for the Range B8:C11
| B | C 8 | Carlos Martinez | 1/23/2029 9 | Ali Fadel | 1/24/2029 10 | Ping Chong | 1/25/2029 11 | Ed Dillon | 1/25/2029
3. Adjust the widths of column B and column C using AutoFit to remove the extra space in the columns.
4. Lamont wants to list the session codes in the range E6:E11. Each code combines the first letters in the session title plus the session number. Complete column E as follows:
a. In cell E6, enter the following session code: ADO120
b. Select the range E6:E11, and then use Flash Fill button to automatically enter codes into the remaining cells in the range. (Hint: You must use the Flash Fill button to properly receive credit for this step.)
5. Hide column F to keep the Required information confidential.
6. Move the Vendors worksheet after the Requirements worksheet since Lamont does not use it frequently.
7. Switch to the Requirements worksheet. In cell B5, change the cell content to PDH (instead of PD Hours) to use the accepted abbreviation.
8. Cut the contents and formatting of the range D12:E16 and paste them into the range D5:E9 to align the range with the other data on the worksheet.
9. Adjust the width of column D to 28.00 so that the contents of cell D6 are fully displayed in the cell.
10. In cell E6, create a formula using the COUNT function to determine the number of states with professional development hours (PDH) requirements by counting the nonblank values in the range B6:B55.
11. Adjust the zoom level of the Requirements worksheet to 120% to use the same zoom level as in the Sessions worksheet.
12. Change the page orientation of the Requirements worksheet to Portrait to reduce the number of pages needed for printing the worksheet.
13. Lamont wants to track the employees who attend the professional development sessions. To create a placeholder worksheet for this data, insert a new worksheet in the workbook, rename the worksheet Attendance, and if necessary, move the new worksheet after the Vendors worksheet.
Your workbook should look like the Final Figures on the following pages. Save your changes, close the workbook, and then exit Excel. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
