PROJECT STEPS
1. You are an intern at Kerasson Robotics, a company in Hartford, Connecticut that produces parts and kits for educational robots. Your supervisor is Hwan Chung, who helps schools and clubs order the products they need to build competitive robots. She asks you to use Excel to complete the invoice for a high school robotics team. First, improve the appearance of the company and billing information at the top of the invoice. On the Stowe Invoice worksheet, change the height of row 1 to 36.00 to allow room for the worksheet title.
2. In the range B2:G3, change the font size to 11 point to de-emphasize the contents.
3. Move the contents of the range H4:H6 to the range C4:C6 to list the billing information in the correct location.
4. In cell G4, enter 5/20/2029 as the date.
5. Hwan also wants you to improve and complete the invoice information in the middle of the worksheet. Autofit the width of column C to match the cell contents.
6. In cell C12, change the contents to read Robot mouse (instead of "Robot") to use the full name of the product.
7. In the range E11:F13, enter the values shown in Table 1 into the corresponding cells.
Table 1: Table Data for the Range E11:F13
| E | F 11 | 76.00 | 7.00 12 | 31.95 | 5.00 13 | 52.95 | 6.00
8. In cell G10, enter a formula without using a function to determine the total price for the Dry-erase coding mat by multiplying the quantity (cell D10) by the unit price (cell E10) and then subtracting the discount (cell F10) from the result.
9. Copy the formula in cell G10 and then paste it in the range G11:G13.
10. In cell G14, enter a formula using the SUM function to determine the total price (the range G10:G13).
11. Hwan also wants you to format the summary information at the bottom of the invoice and enter formulas to perform the calculations. In cell G16, add a cell reference to cell G14 to include the subtotal of products ordered.
12. In cell G18, enter a formula without using a function to multiply the subtotal (cell G16) by the tax rate (cell G17) to determine the sales tax.
13. In cell G20, enter a formula that adds the subtotal (cell G16), the sales tax (cell G18), and the shipping cost (cell G19) to determine the invoice total.
14. In the range F16:G20, add an outside border to set the range apart from the rest of the worksheet.
15. In cell B20, wrap the contents to display all of the text.
16. Hwan also needs you to create another invoice for the Hart Academy. Create a copy of the Stowe Invoice worksheet within the current workbook, use Hart Invoice as the name of the new worksheet, and if necessary, move it after the Stowe Invoice worksheet.
17. Go to the Hart Invoice worksheet. In cell C4, use Hart Academy as the name of the school to bill. Clear the contents of the ranges C5:C7 and B10:F13 in preparation for entering new invoice information.
Your workbook should look like the Final Figures on the following pages. Save your changes, close the workbook, and then exit Excel. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
