PROJECT STEPS
1. Angelo Manzini, your supervisor at Grayson Real Estate where you work as an assistant manager, is organizing a series of information meetings for first time home buyers. He asks you to put the finishing touches on a flyer he plans to distribute to announce the meeting dates. Begin by changing the orientation to Portrait so the page is longer than it is wide.
2. Change the document margins to Narrow.
3. Format the heading paragraph "Grayson Real Estate Information Meetings" as follows to make it stand out:
a. Apply the text effect Fill: Red, Accent color 4; Soft Bevel (1st row, last column in the Text Effects and Typography Gallery) to the heading.
b. Shade the heading using the Gold, Accent 6, Lighter 80% (last column, 2nd row in the Theme Colors Palette) shading color.
4. In the paragraph beginning "Are you thinking…", delete the unnecessary sentence "How exciting!"
5. Apply the Bevel Rectangle picture style to the picture of the two people shaking hands so it pops out from the page.
6. To call attention to the heading paragraph "Securing the Financing", format the paragraph as follows:
a. Center-align the paragraph.
b. Change the font to Arial Black.
c. Change the font size to 14 point.
d. Change the font color to Red, Accent 4 (8th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors Palette).
7. Use the Format Painter to apply the same formatting to the paragraphs "Selecting a Home" and "Closing the Deal" to maintain consistency in the document.
8. Bold and center-align the text "September 15 at 7:30 pm" after the "Securing the Financing" heading to use the same formatting as in the other days and times.
9. Format the paragraphs describing the "Securing the Financing" meeting as follows to match the formatting of the other meeting descriptions:
a. Apply bullets to the three paragraphs beginning "Learn how to start…" and ending "…approved for a mortgage."
b. Increase the indent of the second and third bulleted paragraphs ("Understand the importance…for a mortgage.").
10. At the end of the paragraph "To register for the First Time Home Buyers Information Meetings, contact:", type meetings@grayson.cengage.com and then press SPACEBAR to convert the text into a hyperlink.
11. Separate the top and bottom parts of the flyer as follows:
a. Add a Top Border to the paragraph "To register for…@grayson.cengage.com".
b. Change the color of the border to Red, Accent 4 (8th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors Palette).
12. Change the height of the key picture to 0.9" to make sure the flyer content fits on one page.
13. Remove the hyperlink from the text "Grayson Real Estate" below the picture to format the heading as regular text.
14. Italicize the text "Cell (604) 555-1200" in the last paragraph to set it apart from surrounding text.
15. Use the Editor pane to check the Spelling & Grammar in the document to identify and correct any spelling errors.
