GETTING STARTED

1. Save the file SC_PPT365_EOM7-1_FirstLastName_1.pptx as SC_PPT365_EOM7-1_FirstLastName_2.pptx

a. Edit the file name by changing “1” to “2”.

b. If you do not see the .pptx file extension, do not type it. The file extension will be added for you automatically.

2. To complete this Project, you will also need the following files:

Support_PPT365_EOM7-1_Transit.docx

Support_PPT365_EOM7-1_Workspace.jpg

3. With the file SC_PPT365_EOM7-1_FirstLastName_2.pptx open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.

a. If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy.

PROJECT STEPS

1. In your role as marketing coordinator for Flex Solutions, you create a presentation for new customers interested in learning more about the company. Flex Solutions provides innovative office space solutions to individuals and organizations. On Slide 2 ("Overview"), insert a hyperlink from "Location" to Slide 4 ("Location"), and insert another hyperlink from "Contact Us" to Slide 7. Remove the hyperlink from "Rental Types". Make the SmartArt shape an action button that goes to the next slide in the presentation.

2. On Slide 3 ("About Us"), change the picture to Support_PPT365_EOM7-1_Workspace.jpg.

3. With Slide 3 ("About Us") still displaying, resize the picture so that its height is exactly 4.4". Change the color tone of the picture to 7200 K. Change the sharpness of the picture to Sharpen 50%.

4. On Slide 4 ("Location"), make the SmartArt a hyperlink to the file Support_PPT365_EOM7-1_Transit.docx. Edit the hyperlink to add Click to review transit details as the ScreenTip.

5. On Slide 5 ("Rental Types"), use the content placeholder to insert a new SmartArt diagram using the Grid Matrix layout in the Matrix category. Show the SmartArt Text Pane, if it is not displayed. Enter text in the SmartArt text pane as shown in Figure 1.

6. With Slide 5 ("Rental Types") still displaying, move down "Virtual Offices". Close the SmartArt Text Pane. Change the height and width of the SmartArt diagram to 4". Change the SmartArt colors to Gradient Loop – Accent 1. Apply the Polished SmartArt 3D SmartArt Style. Apply Align Center to the SmartArt diagram.

7. On Slide 6 ("Sample Office Space"), use the content placeholder to insert the video file Support_PPT365_EOM7-1_Office.mp4. Apply the Slope Beveled Rectangle Video Style. Change the video Volume to Mute. Select the option to start the video Automatically and to Loop until Stopped.

8. On Slide 7 ("Contact Us"), link the SmartArt shape to Slide 1.

In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
