GETTING STARTED
1. Save the file SC_PPT365_8A_FirstLastName_1.pptx as SC_PPT365_8A_FirstLastName_2.pptx
a. Edit the file name by changing “1” to “2”.
b. If you do not see the .pptx file extension, do not type it. The file extension will be added for you automatically.
2. With the file SC_PPT365_8A_FirstLastName_2.pptx open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
a. If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy.
PROJECT STEPS
1. You work in the IT department at McBride Resource Management in San Diego, CA, and have been asked to put together a checklist of procedures related to the company's cyber security protocols for delivery at the next meeting of the company's Board of Directors. Begin by switching to Slide Master view, then modify the Title slide layout as follows to emphasize the subtitle and balance the design of the title slide:
a. Change the width of the photo to 10.3" while leaving the height at 2.33" so the photo spans the width of the slide.
b. Change the subtitle to use a 28-point font size. Exit Slide Master view.
2. Switch to Handout Master view, then customize the Handout master as follows:
a. Enter Cyber Security Checklist as the header text.
b. Change the font size of the header text to 18-point.
c. Change the handout orientation to Portrait.
d. Exit Handout Master view.
3. Switch to Notes Page View. On the Notes page for slide 3, add the following note, then switch back to Normal View: Raising cyber security of remote devices is crucial.
4. Switch to Notes Master View, then customize the Notes Master as follows:
a. Change the font for notes to Franklin Gothic to match the font used in the presentation.
b. Enter McBride Resource Management as the footer text.
c. Change the font size of the footer text to 16 point.
d. Set an option to remove the date from the notes. Exit Notes Master View and return to Normal View.
5. Check the accessibility of the presentation to make sure all viewers can understand the slides. Go to the slide that contains the accessibility error, and then type the text Add "Person Using Computer" as alt text. as a note for that slide. Close the Accessibility Checker pane.
6. Create a summary zoom slide to display at the end of the presentation as follows:
a. Include slides 2–6 in the summary zoom slide.
b. Type Cyber Security Checklist as the title of the summary zoom slide.
c. Move the Summary section to the end of the presentation.
7. Set up the slide show so that each slide is displayed for 2 seconds before automatically advancing to the next slide with no mouse clicks.
8. Create a custom slide show that focuses only on data policies related to employees as follows:
a. Use Employees as the name of the custom slide show.
b. Include slides 2, 3, and 5 in the custom slide show.
In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
