PROJECT STEPS

1. You work with a travel company called Desert Adventures based in Utah that sells ecotourism experiences to visitors wishing to explore the natural environment in a sustainable way. Your supervisor, Mariana Ng, has written a one-page information sheet about Red Rock Tours, one of the company's most popular tours. This information sheet will be distributed via email to potential guests. Mariana asks you to format the document and also to create a macro to format a first person account of a guest's tour experience that you'll include on a separate page. Modify the page color by applying the Zig zag pattern fill (6th column, 1st row in the selection of patterns) to make the document more dynamic in keeping with the company's mission to provide adventure tours.

2. Format the picture of the woman on the mountain to give it more impact as follows:

a. Remove the background from the picture so only the figure of the woman is left (don't worry if a bit of sky appears under her knee).

b. Apply the Paint Strokes artistic effect.

3. Modify the cloud shape:

a. Change the cloud shape to a sun shape.

b. Format the shape with the Slant bevel effect.

4. Group the sun shape and the picture into one object so that you can easily move it to another location in the document.

5. Change the Text Wrapping to Square so none of the text is covered.

6. Select the words "Canyon Hike", "Bike Tour," and "Horseback Riding" in the bulleted list below the "Itinerary" heading, then create a character style called Tours that uses the following formats: Bold, Underline, and the Brown, Accent 5 font color (9th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors palette).

7. Select "Canyon Hike" and modify the Tours character style as follows:

a. Remove the underlining.

b. Change the Font color to Dark Red, Accent 1 (5th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors palette).

c. Update the Tours character style to match the selection.

8. Convert the table that appears below the text "Following is a summary of your Red Rock Tour" to text so all the information appears on page 1 of the document.

9. To the right of the tabbed text, insert a text box and format as follows:

a. Select the Simple Text Box.

b. Enter the text Experiences to Remember!

c. Change the width of the text box to 1.5".

d. Apply Bold to the text.

e. Change the font size to 14 point so the text appears over two lines.

f. Center the text in the text box.

g. Apply the Colored Outline – Dark Red, Accent 1 shape style (2nd column, 1st row in the Theme Styles palette).

h. Move the text box to the right of the tabbed text so the top is even with the second line of tabbed text. See Figure 1.

c. Change the 3D Model Views option to left.

d. Change the text wrapping to Square.
