PROJECT STEPS
1. You are a marketing assistant for PRS AgriProducts, a Houston-based company that produces and retails a variety of products for agricultural customers in the southwest United States. Parminder Singh, the vice president of marketing, has written a report detailing how customers access the PRS AgriProducts website. Another PRS AgriProducts manager, Ron Waite, has already reviewed and revised the report. Now you need to incorporate additional revisions from Parminder before sending the memo to her for a final review. Combine Parminder Singh's revisions from the document Support_WD365_EOM8-1_Singh.docx with the Project file. Show the changes in the original document.
2. Display All Markup, if necessary, and then accept the first two tracked changes from Parminder Singh, which adds additional text to the first paragraph followed by a period. Reject the next tracked change, which inserts "as much as possible ", because it is redundant. Accept the next tracked change, which is from Ron Waite and replaces the word "identify" with "decide". Accept the remaining changes in the document because they improve the content.
3. With Track Changes turned on, insert the text Web Marketing before the word "Strategies" in the second line of the paragraph under the "Overview" heading so the phrase is "Web Marketing Strategies". Display Simple Markup and turn off Track Changes when you are finished.
4. Insert a 3-D pie chart in the second blank paragraph below the "Access Methods" table to respond to Parminder Singh's request. Copy the table and then paste it in the chart spreadsheet window. Close the spreadsheet window. Change the chart title to Website Access Methods as the chart title. Apply Style 8 to the chart.
5. Open the workbook Support_WD365_EOM8-1_Expenses.xlsx. Copy the data in cells A1:E7. In the blank paragraph below the "Allocating Advertising Resources" section on page 2, paste the Excel data as a link using source formatting. Break the link between the "Projected Advertising Expenses" table and the source data in the Excel workbook because the data will not change. Close the Excel workbook.
6. Respond to Parminder Singh's second comment by changing the pie chart on page 3 to a 3-D Pie chart to match the pie chart you inserted earlier. Apply Style 8.
7. Add Customers by State as the chart title above the chart to identify the contents. Change the data labels so they display only the Percentage. Display the legend to the right of the chart to make the chart easier to interpret. Add a Black, Text 1 border to emphasize the boundaries of the chart.
8. Insert the Calendar 2 quick table in the blank paragraph at the end of the document to respond to the comment from Ron Waite. In the cell for May 3, press ENTER after the date number, and then add the text MTG to the cell.
Your document should look like the Final Figure on the following pages. Save your changes, close the document, and then exit Word. Follow the directions on the website to submit your completed project.
